Space Worms

The group of emergency worms invaded the Theaterplatz in Chemnitz. The blanket cluster embodies the complex nature of fear, explores its boundaries, creates visibility, alarms insecurity and uncertainty. From the systemic and symbolic violent acts coated by denial of authority to the very personal, privately held fears. The artist uses high-visibility clothing - orange emergency blankets as the second skin, protection from the potential risky situation while creating visibility in the public space. The pulsing, strange creatures, whose erased identities move within their cluster tell us a story from inside.
